New office provides enhanced support for ISHIDA customers in CEE

Ishida Europe has opened a dedicated sales and service office to provide localised support for customers in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.

Based in Čestlice on the outskirts of Prague in the Czech Republic, the new facility includes a large 500m2 Demonstration Centre that enables customers to see machines in action, carry out product trials, undergo training on the equipment and engage in discussions on specific new packing line projects.

The Ishida CCE office’s central location and proximity to Prague’s international Václav Havel Airport offers easy access for customer visits and for a fast sales and service response throughout CEE.  It is headed up by Ishida General Manager for CEE, Robert Kaluza, supported by regional sales managers, local service engineers and project managers.

The official opening of the office was marked by a series of customer days with over 65 attendees from 35 companies across the region.  Visitors enjoyed a number of presentations and machinery demonstrations to highlight Ishida’s wide-ranging capabilities in devising solutions for a huge variety of products across many different end-markets.

The breadth of equipment on show during the event underlined Ishida’s packing line machinery expertise.  Five multihead weighers highlighted the Ishida range’s versatility in handling all types of applications, including wet and dry products and mixed varieties, while latest quality control and inspection solutions included advanced X-ray inspection systems and the award-winning AirScan CO2 leak detector for MAP packs.  A complete snacks line, comprising Ishida’s top of the range multihead weigher and Inspira bagmaker combination, together with seal tester and DACS checkweigher, not only demonstrated Ishida’s global leadership in snacks packing solutions but also showcased the company’s abilities in devising and installing fully integrated, single source packing lines across all markets.

Much of the equipment on display will remain in the centre for subsequent customer demonstrations, trials and project discussions.

“CEE is an important and growing region,” comments Robert Kaluza.  “Our new facility further strengthens our existing network of agents and distributors with additional localised sales and service support, and provides customers with an outstanding demonstration facility to help them find the exact solution to meet their specific requirements.”
